The Artist Collective Markmakers are showing their work exploring diverse aspects of the River Mersey at Castle Park Arts Centre, Frodsham during March and April.
Markmakers are a visual arts collective based in Halton, who have been producing work in response to the river, and are showing drawings, prints, photographs, textiles, paintings and sculptures.
The visual artists, who work in a variety of media, have interpreted the path that the Mersey takes into sculpture, used mud from the river bed to make images and objects, been inspired by the wealth of wildlife that inhabits the river and interpreted its history into visual imagery.
Claire Weetman is showing her Crossings sculptures - string forms which document the width of bridges crossing the River Mersey.
