Work has begun on Life's Rich Tapestry with Claire Weetman working with three schools during March. Practical teacher training sessions have taken place, where the artist led creative activities, exploring elements of Liverpool's history through drawing, painting and collage.

Claire has worked with a selection of classes in each school, from reception to Year 6, producing collage inspired by the Cathedrals' stained glass windows, St Georges Hall and the Chinese Arch; drawings inspired by footballers and the buildings in Walton Vale; and paintings that look to the waterfront and the parks and green spaces in the city.

Work will continue through April and May, with hundreds of children contributing to this exciting journey through Liverpool's 800 years of history.
