A City in Progress - Paving the Way
Dale Street, Liverpool

A dazzling art work created by young artists of Marybone Youth & Community Association with artists Dave Bixter, Claire Weetman and Ed Bixter has been unveiled in Liverpool.

A creative partnership between the Liverpool Culture Company, Dyingfrog Arts Network, Marybone Youth & Community Association, Liverpool City Council and City Centre and North Neighbourhood Management Services. ‘A City in Progress’ uses creative writing, visual art, and photography to create images and text to be used on hoardings surrounding developments and key buildings to create a dynamic exhibition of a city in progress, its people and its culture.

The artwork has been created by young people from Marybone Youth & Community Association to reflect the heritage of the area and express their hopes and aspirations for the future by interpreting the Marybone and Dale Street areas of Liverpool.

These boards are a celebration of the Marybone community. The artwork communicates personal responses to the neighbourhood and captures an essence of Liverpool, a city in progress.
