Up in smoke

No Smoking day, March 2008

Working with two primary schools, a secondary school and a youth club in Kirkby, Claire Weetman has produced a series of artworks highlighting the benefits of being Smoke Free.

The young people took photographs of themselves showing the positive aspects of being a non-smoker and created drawings, which were then digitally montaged and printed onto canvas. The artworks will be displayed in Kirkby Library to celebrate No Smoking Day 2008, before being returned to the groups who took part.
